Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our Pistakee Highlands, IL crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Beyond droppings and noise, chewed wiring and insulation damage are real risks we flag during every inspection.
Our team is trained in structural exclusion work, not just trap placement — sealing gaps as small as a quarter-inch that mice can squeeze through.
Rodent calls in Pistakee Highlands, IL get same-day or next-day dispatch, especially where droppings or gnaw marks suggest an active population.
No per-trap billing surprises — you get one number covering removal and sealing, quoted after inspection.
We carry snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal cameras for locating nest zones, and sanitation supplies for post-removal cleanup. Each exclusion job comes with before-and-after documentation of the sealed gaps, so you know exactly what was done and where.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we focus on foundation perimeters, deck footings, and crawl space vents.
We trace roof rat entry to soffit vents and roofline gaps, sealing those before setting attic traps.
Mouse control centers on finding every small gap, since a single unsealed opening undoes the whole job.
Rodent droppings and urine-soaked insulation get removed and the space sanitized once trapping is complete.
We install hardware cloth, door sweeps, and vent screens to physically block re-entry after the population is cleared.
Scheduled monitoring and bait station servicing for property managers needing ongoing compliance documentation.
Tell dispatch where you're hearing activity — attic, walls, or kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
We show up prepared to both trap and seal, so there's no separate follow-up trip just to bring supplies.
The inspection identifies both the rodent species and every access point, from foundation cracks to roofline gaps.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented follow-up — not just traps left behind with no return visit.
We'd tried store-bought traps for months. The technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger board in twenty minutes.
Roof rats in the attic for weeks. They sealed three roofline gaps and the noise stopped within a few days.
Property manager here — they service all six of our buildings on a schedule and send logs I can hand to ownership.
Appreciated that they explained the difference between mice and roof rats before quoting. Didn't feel like a guessing game.
Two units in our building had chewed wiring behind the stove. Exclusion work solved it and the electrician confirmed no further risk.
We dispatch Pistakee Highlands, IL technicians throughout Pistakee Highlands and neighboring areas, with particular attention to older homes and properties near wooded lots where rodent pressure tends to run higher. Properties in Pistakee Highlands near open fields or construction sites tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, so we plan technician routes with that pattern in mind.
Rat droppings are roughly the size of a grain of rice or larger; mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed. Noise timing and gnaw-mark size also differ.
Trapping handles what's inside now; sealing is what keeps new rodents from replacing them.
Dry sweeping droppings can release airborne particles; it's safer to let the crew handle cleanup with the right protective equipment.
Most single-family homes take one visit for trapping and sealing, with a follow-up 1-2 weeks later to confirm no new activity.
We prioritize mechanical trapping and exclusion over rodenticide when possible, especially around homes with pets or children.
Pet food left out, compost piles, and gaps around utility lines are frequent culprits we flag during inspection. We often recommend homeowners do a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since new gaps can open up after freeze-thaw cycles.
